Knapton Remembered

We are a friendly group that share a passion and we welcome new members. Membership is free and all members receive newsletters about the Group’s events and projects.

Our relaxed, informal meetings take place on the first Friday morning of every month in Knapton’s Village Hall, usually for a couple of hours or so. At the meetings, group members announce new findings and discoveries, share thoughts and ideas about the different topics or projects they are interested in or are working on, and discuss ideas and plan for our up-coming events.

Our meetings are open to anyone who shares our passion to know more about our village and it’s surrounding parish, and who feels that they would like to get involved and contribute with knowledge of, or a willingness to help record, the history of Knapton.

Please consider coming along to one of our meetings if you are interested in helping us with our projects. Alternatively, you may prefer to work from home in your own time and there is no shortage of work to be done! Available tasks include preparing information to be added to this website, conducting interviews, editing audio files, transcribing documents or researching an aspect of the village’s history. Our events are becoming very popular, so it’s always a great help to have more of our team to answer our visitors questions and enhance their visit to our event.
